10:30 a.m. Jeff Iles, Iowa State University¬—Too Large to be a Shrub…Too Small to be a Tree…But Perfect for the Iowa Landscape
In this presentation, Jeff will discuss some of the best species/cultivars of large shrubs and small trees available and appropriate for the Iowa landscape. Selections with interesting bark, colorful fall foliage, flowers, and/or wildlife sustaining fruit will garner the most attention. Iles also will suggest ways to use these noteworthy plants in the managed landscape.

Don’t let the cold get you down. Join us on Saturday mornings January through March for weekly educational lectures on a range of topics from lichens to bees to bananas. Each week includes two hour-long sessions. Cost of admission includes both lectures.
