Science Meets Practice for Advancing Soil Health

February 4-5, 2019

Scheman Building, Ames, Iowa

The 2019 Soil Health Conference is the 3rd since the 2016 inaugural conference. The previous two soil health conferences were marked by successful attendance, engagement, and positive feedback for continuing this tradition in addressing soil health challenges. After one year break in 2018, the Soil Health conference is reconvening to continue our engagement and provide fresh and new perspectives to our audience that include farmers, agronomists, students, scientists, farm managers, and agency personnel.

This year's conference features a wide range of speakers that include farmers with rich experience in implementing management practices and innovative approaches for building a resilient system, and well known scientists and agronomists of national recognition in the area of soil health. The conference agenda will include presentations and group discussions that will address the economics, systems approach, and real life experience for improving soil health and management challenges. Research-based and practical information will be presented during the two days conference with innovative topics of close engagement between speakers and attendees.

There will be a poster session highlighting the current research efforts in soil health. We hope, that you will take advantage to attend this two days' conference and gain additional knowledge that can advance your understanding of soil health and soil management principles and grow your professional development by gaining CCA credits in soil and water management.
