The Polk County Soil and Water Conservation District along with Conservation Districts of Iowa and National Association of Conservation Districts are sponsoring a poster contest for children kindergarten through 12th grade. The poster contest theme for 2019 is “Life in the Soil: Dig Deeper.”


Competition is open to all children who are residents of Polk County from kindergarten through grade 12. Division 1 – Grades K-1; Division 2 – Grades 2-3; Division 3 – Grades 4-6; Division 4 – Grades 7-9; and Division 5 – Grades 10-12.

Applicants who live in Polk County, should submit their completed poster with entry form to the Polk Soil and Water Conservation District, 1513 N Ankeny Blvd., Suite 3, Ankeny, IA 50023 by Friday, March 22, 2019.
